"Definite
promising career for that kid right there!!!"
-Mista Sinista, formerly of the X-Ecutioners
He's
not even legal, but he's already shaken things up. I-Dee
(a.k.a. Isaac DeLima) is the newest member of the Virginia
based Trooperz crew. He has earned his place among the group
of DJ's by following his passion for turntablism and competing nationwide
in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York City, and Miami, just to name
a few cities.
DJ
I-Dee is from Guatemalan and Puerto Rican descent who is the
only member of the crew that has won three regionals title in only
ONE year [Vinyl Kombat/NYC, DMC/DC, ITF/DC].
He says that the best event he ever played was, "Vinyl Kombat
NYC because I went in hoping to make it past prelims, but ended
up winning, showcasing my skills in front of D-Styles, A-Trak,
Steve D, Grandmaster Caz, Crazy Legs, Charlie Chase who are
all legends in my book."
I-Dee
uses his strong musical knowledge of 70's/80's sounds in addition
to current hip-hop hits to add flair and style to his impeccable
skills. His background and natural spunk give way to Latin flavors
on turntablism. His latest DMC routine includes 'Oye Como
Va' by Santana. He credits his success to his influences
who paved the way for him; a list which includes the other members
of the Trooperz Crew, A-Trak, Craze, Precision,
Kico, Shiftee, and Lindsay Lohan.
I-Dee
entered the battle scene at the tender age of 15 and now currently
18 years old, the future is looking bright for the young protege.
Goals for 2005 include having fun, winning a national title and
"with or without it," more groupies. His
goal to liven things up and make the music funky promises that he
will rock every jam.
DJing
'keeps me out of trouble,' and is, 'a great hobby, that allows me
to express myself in ways that the mouth can't."
The
newest and youngest member of the Trooperz has earned his place
in a world-reknowned crew with a number of prestigious titles and
