With his turntablism background and knowledge in hip-hop and breaks, Brian Sadiarin a.k.a. DJ Geometrix (Trooperz Crew, DC) brings forth a turntable funk incomparable to most run-of-the-mill DJs. Words cannot describe his performances, as it must be seen and heard live to be truly appreciated. Geometrix's sets are known for creating a euphoric musical experience like no other. A true master behind the decks, he combines the energy and passion of diverse genres of music and has been known to leave the crowd in awe and utter amazement.

Music has been part of Geometrix's life since the beginning. His life story began in the Philippines, where he was born to Filipino parents on April 19, 1978. Listening to music with his mother at a very early age, he drew influences from her record collection that included the Beatles, the Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel, and the Bee Gees. From there, he discovered New Wave, Alternative Rock, Electro, and 80's Pop as he accompanied his older brothers to mobile DJ parties as the designated "record boy". Like a young boy imitating every move of his idol, he learned the basics of mixing and song selection quickly from his older brothers and sparked his lifelong love of DJ'ing.

Geometrix's family moved to the United States when he was ten years old, setting the stage for the beginning of his DJ career. Settling in the Washington, D.C. metro area forced his older brothers to leave the turntables behind in the Philippines. He started listening to Hip-Hop music to keep himself close to the artform that he left behind and it wasn't until 1992 that his interest in DJ'ing resurfaced. Geometrix credits the movie "Juice" as his inspiration to pursue DJ'ing after being intrigued by Omar Epps's character as a battle DJ. From that point on, he bought a "DJ Jazzy Jeff" Pyramid mixer for $5 from a local garage sale, hooked up all the sound equipment he could find at his home, and his wheels of music started turning again.

Geometrix began spinning at house parties, school functions, and teen dance parties throughout his high school years and eventually met with DJ Quix and DJ Sneek, lifelong friends that shared the same passion. After a failed attempt at a hip-hop album with local group, A.I.P. in 1998, these lifelong friends decided to form the Trooperz Crew and picked up a couple more DJs along the way - DJ Enferno (DMC 2003 USA Champion) and DJ Oz. Geometrix entered the local DJ battle circuit after countless hours of practice and studying DJ battle videos. Since then, he has won numerous DJ competitions and has been featured in turntablist showcases all across the nation, spanning from Los Angeles to Boston.

Geometrix's skill of fusing together the best contemporary hip-hop, party classics, and b-boy breaks have earned him a place among Washington D.C.'s finest DJs. He has held residencies at Coco Loco, Cage, and Bridges and guest spots at Dream, VIP Club, H20, Home Nightclub, Platinum, Insomnia, DC Tunnel, Zanzibar, Up Nightclub, Modern, Bar Nun, and Nations. He has shared the stage with some of the industries' best including the legendary DJ Q-Bert, the X-ecutioners, 3x DMC World Champion DJ Craze, the Allies, DJ Z-Trip, DJ Radar, Faust and Shortee, 5th Platoon, MTV's own DJ Skribble, Rocksteady Crew's DJ Slynke, Armand Van Buren, KRS-One, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Gangstarr, Bubba Sparxxx, Fat Joe, Storm the Unpredictable, and Akrobatik. Geometrix is also no stranger to the rave/dance culture as he has been a featured performer at 5 high profile events this past year - Winter Music Conference 2003 & 2004 in Miami, URB Magazine's Destination in DC, Starscape 20:03 in Baltimore, Eternity 9 in Albany, and Local 13’s Bang 4 in Philadelphia. He was even named as the Breakthrough DJ of the Year by The Scene Magazine and has been featured in Empire Magazine, Pulse Grafix Magazine, and Tablist Magazine, among other publications.

"...possibly the most talented all round deejay on the east coast if not America, who is quietly making huge strides in many of the US circuits from NY to CA to FL and beyond..."
- The Scene Magazine, 2003 End of the Year Awards
